I purchased a beautiful oval rose pattern stained glass door several years ago. The "stained glass" is actually pealing off!!! I really loved the door and it added so much beautiful curb appeal to our home, but this is so disappointing, not only for looks, but the door was very expensive. I would like it replaced Is there any kind of warranty for this, I thought by the price that it would be a high quality product. I have noticed that is no longer displayed at Lowes where I purchased it,just curious if anyone else has had the same problem.I... Read more

I purchased pella windows, 750 series? with the blinds inside, and they have been nothing but trouble since installed over 1 1/2 years ago. They are very hard to open and lock. I think that one of the features of windows should be open and close. They will open but it takes up to #50 lbs of resistance to open them. Pella has no issue with them, nor does Lowes who installed them... frustrated and still waiting for the correction... Read more

Pella Windows And Doors - Rotted Doors
1 of 8

I have six different Pella Designer Series doors that are rotted out at the bottom. The corner clips holding the trim on the outside of the doors along with the trim loosened over time. Pella knew this was an issue and came out after 9 years and replace them free of charge... but the damage had been done and a year or two later they started showing. Pella refuses to do anything to cover these door or give any type of discount on replacing them. I would never ever buy Pella again. Read more

I bought Pella windows in 1995. Needed simple replacements, three screens and two interior window frames. Tried to order twice directly from the store starting in 2012. No confirmation or anything. Also spent over $12000 on 3 new $2600 doors each with lifetime warranty and a double hung window February 2013. Having a problem with weather stripping on the doors. Unable to contact anyone in service and are not returning my calls. May have well ordered doors from a building supply store and installed myself. Read more

The strings opening the Slim Shade blinds on our Pella sliding doors and one living room window have broken. There seems to be no solution from Pella except to purchase new windows and doors - ours are only 15 years old and this solution is EXTREMELY expensive, basically starting over. We chose Pella because of their lifetime warranty and formerly good reputation. Come on people, this should be a $5 fix and Pella should provide an individual who is trained to restring these doors and windows since I was told by a Pella rep that it was a... Read more

Ordered a uninsulated garage door from Pella (even though its Amarr, Pella doesnt make garage doors, they just middle man someone elses doors). First one ordered on 11/15 goes Missing. I call and find this out 12/23, 13 days after it was supposed to arrive on 12/10. No attempt from "installer" to contact me made. They tell me they have an insulated in stock and can ship that to me the 1st of Jan or I can wait till the 11th and get an uninsulated. I say sure send the insulated. It is now Jan 4th. I call and they say it never shipped but they... Read more

How do you get them open to clean? The instruction is covered by the window. Guess if I knew how to open it I could read the instruction. Attention to detail not there. Please move the instruction 1/4 inch. They are very energy efficient so I like that aspect a lot. Nine in a 10X12 room can be easily heated with a 1000 watt heater with insulation above and below and around. However, I never could figure out instructions anyway and never found windows easy to clean. That's 1/4 inch to the left so people can read it. Read more

We purchased a new Pella entry door and Pella 'select' storm door in July of 2014. The total cost was over $3,000. After having many problems with the entry door, such as a hinge screw actually protruding through the front of the door and gross misalignment between the door and factory (Pella) supplied door frame which caused the lock dead bolt not to fit into the door jamb. We were given a new door to correct the hinge screw problem. I had to correct the locking problem by using a file to enlarge the holes in the door jamb. The storm door... Read more

A seal broke on our very expensive Pella Window after a year and a half. The top portion of the window needed to be replaced. It took Pella four months to get this done while I had water all over my kitchen every time it rained. Pella did finally replace the top portion free of charge, but I had to have the replacement window painted at my expense since I had a painter paint it in the first installation to match the rest of our window paint which was recommended by Pella's salesman. Their product FAILS AND THEY DO NOT MAKE IT WHOLE. You... Read more
